No Strings Attached

No one matters but myself
No point bothering
Because all they see of you is a dirty stain
I can take the blame
I can swallow all the excuses
I accepted it with no grudge or anger
Let me be the prey
And you the victim
Build myself with a heart of stone
To never care for another soul
No one determines the road I take in life
So, why the hell should I care?
Because no one matters in the end but myself

I am shit at writing soppy poems ( first attempt), it sounds pathetic and amateur-ish. I need Sara's literary brain. Reading it back, it sounds like its been written by a 5 year old lol. I wish that I can do more than accounts, hmmmm cant even do that properly right now. Oh yea, i sound so self-absorbed.

I want these......................

Christian Louboutin's Patent Leather Peep Toe Shoes. Ok, maybe not these, I can't afford these. Those babies costs around a few thousand. Maybe I will find similar ones at Vincci or Nose. Besides, I tend to trip in heels, but they do look so chic.

I so so so regretted sleeping at 4.30 a.m last night. I love and hate weekends at the same time. I rest too much during weekends and leave my study books to collect dust. Too much of something might kill you in the end so, I must make an effort to pick myself up and Ssstudy! ( haha just like when Julian Casablancas sings 'Ssshh....i can see the sunShine')

Crap! I just made this post sound less cool (the study part)

My Pepsi is waiting for me. That reminds me, I have to set a date with Coke sometime next week. Never knew someone like me can commit infidelity. Lol

A Moment In Time

Something is seriously wrong with me.

Did I study after the atrocious results?? Pppffff... of course not.

Well, I did one econs essay. (The only time I do essays is during exam...so yay for me)

Read some blonde jokes on the internet and I didnt understand some of them, which makes me a blonde??....haha.

David Cook was so hot during The Top 7 American Idol performance last week. He sang Always Be My Baby. By the way, it was Mariah Carey week. Parts that were hot :-

1) That part when he pulled back the mike and made that face

2) That part when he shrieked 'lingerr onnnn'

3) That part when he rests his wrist on the mike stand (ending)

4) and because...his appearance was quite messy that day....which was sooooo hot!!

David C teared up at the end because the judges gave him good feedback and coz he had a cancerous brother in the audience, so it was quite sad.

I have never NEVER liked David Cook, but that performance that day changed my mind.He sure looked bad in a sexy way.
Here is a picture of David C doing one of his shrieks. So hot, he is having me shrieking!
I wanna fix his tie.

Losing My Edge

Hello, my name is Nadz and i am just ordinary.
I just checked my trial results. I got a mere ABC.
A C for god's sake. A friccking C. A C for my Economics paper. Unbelievable, unacceptable. Economics is an important paper, even more important than Accounting but less important than math, i must say. Still am in a state of denial. I really thought that I had sufficient knowledge relating to Economics.
I personally thought that the essay that i wrote for paper 4 was one of my better essays.
Maybe I completely went out of topic for the 25 marks essay or i screwed up my 20 marks data.
There is nothing more that I want to do now then take a look at my Econ's paper and see what I have done wrong. I would like to know whether the mistakes are purely due to misinterpretation of the question or I had weak knowledge on the subject matter. The latter should be worse.

I accepted my Accounting results with less hair-pulling. A B for accounts was just ok for me, actually I was expecting a C(question 1 for paper 4 was too tough) Whatever it is, the B was a pretty weak B which just enhances the fact that I am slipping and fading away academically. What in the world is happening to me?

Thankfully I got an A for maths, and it was a weak A, no surprise there. I am just trying to take in all the dissapointment gradually without beating myself up about it. I wish that someone would just slap me and tell me off for obtaining lower than my usual grades. That might drive me to study or maybe it might motivate me to study upon knowing I am a good for nothing.

What were parents reaction? Mum just said 'its ok, u know, a-levels is tough, and its just trials. at least now you won't be overconfident.' Uhm....thats all. Shocker.

I am now officially underpressure. I am pressure induced, since there is no pressure from parents. Starting from tomorrow I will start flipping through my Economics notes and start writing essays and practicing data and doing accounts because I never ever ever want to see that C ever again (and that B too), especially not for my real A2 results. Insyaallah.

I tag :- No one. they are invisible

The Television Light

Anderson Cooper is so hot. He has such a cute laugh, and he talks intelligently and you can see that he is very passionate about his job as a newscaster. He now has his own slot on CNN called Anderson Cooper 360. He always covers the top stories and the news highlights maybe because he is really good at doing his job. His coverage on the Tsunami aftermath earned him some kind of award in 2005.

Omg, I just found out that he is...................gay. Why oh why? I hope its just rumours, I mean, he doesn't sound gay at all.

I like the way he speaks on tv, very smart newscaster, very spontaneous when addressing issues, and he can be quite funny sometimes. I guess I'm just being biased here because Anderson looks charming. The other newscasters like Christiane Amanpour, Jim Clancy, Richard Quest, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and not forgetting Larry King( he is so old lol) are equally amazing at doing their job.

Anderson Cooper 360. Its worth taking a look, so are all the slots on CNN, especially the special coverages that they do e.g a look at africa.

I'm Not Drowning Fast Enough

I have nothing to blog about. Nothing is going on in my life currently....and I haven't started studying.....

Listened to these songs countlessly

1) You Only Live Once - The Strokes
2) Karma Police - Radiohead
3) All I Need - Radiohead
4) Party Hard - Andrew W.K
5) Meet Me In The Bathroom - The Strokes
6) Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
7) Im Only Sleeping - The Vines
8) If I Fell - Jason Castro ( a little out of place)

My head feels heavy and saturated with god knows what. It takes great effort to even lift my head up.

I just realised how I hate red so much. A little bit of red is fine, not the whole room, the couch, the tables, the napkins, that idiotic woman on tv, u are making ur house look like period. How about red and black? that would be gory. i like that.

Sitting alone at home is imposing such a great challenge. I may be going senile. I have no one to communicate with. I should use this time to study. I could drive out but Im too chicken to do soo. Time flies so slow and yet so fast. It feels like 3 hours but its only 30 minutes but the next thing I know its already night time.

I should get out of this couch, oooo the tv programme finally ended, it feels like its been going on for days. Its the same news reader i saw an hour ago, why is it showing again....oh well. Listening to Bodysnatchers - Radiohead

Im gonna study this evening.....i think.....is it already evening?? the sky looks kind of dark. My head feels so heavy. I wanna watch korean movies.

Im starving but i feel full. Only my throat feels hungry but my stomach is full. Maybe i can just place the food on my tongue. I love Radiohead. Bodysnatchers is amazing, I feel like I am flying.

I'm gonna delete this post anyway...later...

You Know You Want Them

All the rage, don't-give-a-damn attitude, selfless strumming of the guitar, playing hardcore music, the messy hair, substance abuse, who can resist? *hotness*

1) Thom Yorke - Lead singer of Radiohead. Went to Exeter University. Plays amazing songs, which takes a while to get use to. The music that they play is a class of their own, eventhough its classified as Britpop. Can't decide on which song of Radiohead is my fave. Should be a tie between High and Dry, No Surprises, Karma Police....impossible to choose only one. Thom's voice is the best, can't really listen to what he is singing sometimes, but it can make you wander away.

2) Julian Casablancas - Lead of The Strokes. He sounds like he is semi-conscious when he sings, doesnt bother me though. Just recently listened to more and more songs by the band. Fav's are Reptilia and Last Night. Checked out some of the videos and live performances. Not bad! They were termed as the 'savious of rock', hell yeah thats true. Hmm...I am guessing that he doesn't own a comb because he looks like this all the time. Who cares? He is on fire! I hope he doesn't own combs forever.

3) Jared Leto - Anyone can just drown in those dreamy blue eyes. He is an actor/model/frontman of alternative rock band (just like the others) 30 Seconds To Mars. His ability to pen/co-wrote most of the songs on their album proves that he is more than just a pretty face. Love his grungy voice especially in Attack and A Beautiful Lie, especially those shrieks! They actually sound amazing live, even better than the abum. Watched a vid of the band singing Attack, which proves that the shrieks he makes are for real!

4) Craig Nicholls - Vocalist for The Vines. I saw their first video, Get Free and was instantly hooked. He looks high and he sounds high when he sings, but that is what makes him unique. His eyes just spiral out of control and he rolls all over the floor when he has one of his meltdowns while playing live. His members get pissed off when it happens. Sad for Craig, he has aspergers (a mild case of autism) and a drug problem but if he didn't he would just be ordinary.

5) Jack White - That is a mugshot of the lead singer of The White Stripes, he got into a fight in some bar. Quite hot rite? His skin looks pale, like a vampires's skin. The signature colours of the band are white, black, and red, I have yet to see him in other colours. The band only consists of him and his ex-wife ( im not so sure about this), who is wicked on the drums. His jetblack hair is always all over his face when he performs and he really dominates the guitar!

6) John Mayer - He is completely different than the others on the list. Plays mostly blues/soul rock music. This one comes with no shrieking, just playing his guitar and singing with his soothing voice. The best part about him should be the lyrics he writes, each and every song has a story of its own and some of the lyrics are inspirational. He normally sings acoustic during live performances. I like the way his lips move around the mike when he sings, he looks like he wants to eat the mike. lol

Ripples On A Blank Shore

Someone tagged me to do this questionnaire. I have never done these kind of things before. lol

1. At what age do you wish to marry?
28 or 29. Doesnt really matter to me.

2. If you were to be stranded on a desert island, who are the 3 blog buddies you would take with you?
i wanna cheat a little, i wanna choose real buddies instead. lol
1) puijing - she can help start the fire and i bet that she can help me cook.
2) sara - to be cooked hehehe
3) yoke ling - to help find herbs/spices on the island and to help finish the food.

3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
Angel Falls in Venezuela. The height of the falls is so great that before getting anywhere near the ground, the water is blown by the strong winds and turned into mist. Astonishing isnt it? The only way to reach there is by invading the forest and consequently hiking up some mountain. I find forests/going outdoors intolerable. the thought of staying in dirty-grass-stained clothes make me cringe :( sigh

4. If you could have 5 wishes, what would it be? And not just the wish that there will be more wishes.
1. Meet Muhammad Yunus, the guy who set up the Grameen Bank. So inspirational!! Maybe i will set up my own grameen bank. if u dont know, the grameen bank gives out microcredit to people who are in extreme poverty to help turn around their lives.

2. Endless happiness for the people who matter to me ( family & friends)

3. Go to Radiohead's concerts and hang out with the band after the concert and find out where they get their inspiration to write their songs, particularly from Thom Yorke.

4. that people can see me as a smart, intellectual person and not as an airhead. People's first impression of me is normally of being some dumb blonde with dark hair. Surprise that im not?

5. A hot bod, from any model who have posed for Sports Illustrated. lol

5. Do you believe you can survive without money?
Uhm...No. its impossible. According to the consumption fuction, autonomous consumption will still have to take place, even when income is equal to zero, making savings a negative figure ( people will be in debt). Until how long is an individual able to sustain an accelarating debt? it might come to a point that autonomous consumption of an individual is completely denied, making basic nesessities such as food and water inaccessible.

6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
The people around me, and my study notes

7. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Buy shoes because most of my shoes are torn anywayz/ buy radiohead's imported albums/ buy some t-shirts/ eat really2 good food

8. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
No, that would be so embarassing.

9. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.
good at giving advices, eccentric, hardworking

10. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
Intelligent, extremely smart guys gets me all the time e.g i smile uncontrollably/ slur my words, calm and simple, nerdy and silly. *smiles* Nerds are hot mainly because of their specs and their ability to be supersmart in math. However, i dont think nerds will be attracted to me coz i dont think that i am their type, i hav never talked to a nerd before. sad. Omg i dont wanna end up with someone like Mop,( eww all the swearing and self-obssessed type) which i think i will.

11. Which type of person do you hate the most?
I hate people who like to use other people to their advantage, people who spend their youth in a wasteful manner, abusive people, be it to children, siblings, spouses, bossy people -especially if you are not MY superior, and FINALLY, people who kill and throw away their newborn babies(thank you for purchasing a ticket straight to hell)

12. What is your ambition?
A fantastic job, find my nerd/some unlucky guy, just be happy i guess.

13.Which physical part of you are you most satisfied with?
My legs coz it makes me mobile

14. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
My conscience

15. Are you a shopaholic or not?
Partly.

16. If you have a chance, which part of your character you would like to change?
My ability to make good first impressions, i just cant - due to my arrogant look

17. What's your weakest point?
I allow people to bully me around sometimes

18. What's the thing that you're most proud of?
My support system ( family and friends)

19. Rainy day or sunny day?
Rainy

20. How many kids would you like to have?
Two

On an unrelated note. This guy is super cute

There Goes Another Night

Just browsed the videos saved on my laptop and I saw my Heroes folder. Heroes! my fav tv show ever.

Season 1 ( volume one : genesis) was absolutely amazing. No other show can even come close to the first season of heroes. 23 episodes of absolute superpower brilliance

Season 2 ( volume two: generations) was amazing aswell but cannot match the success of the first season. btw, it was cut short to only 11 episodes due to the WGA strike. i have to admit, the plot was slightly weak e.g hiro going back in time, Peter's memory loss, Sylar's road trip with the twins.

Season 3 ( volume three : villains) is going to air on 1st Sept 2008. I can't wait. I hope that Nathan doesn't die. His character has turned quite likeable.

The Heroes

Peter Petrelli
He plays the good guy in Heroes. He can absorb superpowers from people around him and can conjure any superpower that he wants at anytime. So cool! but in season 2 he lost his memory and he was transported to ireland! the journey for peter in finding his identity was slightly boring and he said ' i dont know' in the show too many times......

Claire Bennet

The smoking hot cheerleader. Claire acts a bit rebellious towards her dad but deep down, family matters the most to her.aww. She has the ability to regenerate any part of her body which includes burns/scars/ amputations.hmm... im guessing that she will have to pierce her ears everytime she wants to change her earrings because everytime when she takes them off, the hole on her earlobe will close!

Jumping Off The Edge

Wow. A2 Trials are finally over. Overall it was excruciatingly painful. If it were the final exam i would be on the bathroom tiles or in front of the tv ( love tv:)) bawling my eyes out.

I am targeting only B's and C's. ( where are the A's?) Very sad in my case. I have to face the truth that my brain has its limitations. It has come to a point that cramming and studying everything last minute cannot guarantee my desired grades. I guess this is why school/colleges have trial exams. It is for the students ( complacent ones like me) to be motivated to study for the final exams after getting absolutely miserable grades for trials.

I can start by cutting down on doing ridiculous things such as having the tv on for one whole day. I guess that is the problem that i am facing. Even when there is nothing that i plan to watch, i will keep on flipping channels until i find something decent to watch like cooking programmes/cnn/mtv/tennis.

Same goes for the internet. Once the laptop is switched on,it won't be turned off until late at night. I can go on and on searching for videos on youtube or visit forums or politic-related blogs, i even go to amazon.com, god i dont even know why.......& i also visit this obscene blog ( sara's blog).haha. just jk sara. Handful of hours are completely wasted.

and......i should not listen to music while studying. it so doesnt work for me. i will end up focusing on the music, bopping my head up and down, clicking on the buttons to select even more music instead of doing my work.

The bottom line is that i dont want to be dissapointed when my final exam results are released. I have never been in that situation before, and i pray that i wont be. i might not be able to handle it.

But seriously ok! the trial questions were at least threefolds tougher than actual exam questions which most of them are 'doable'.

And....I had mcd for lunch with yoke ling, my first mcd in 2 months and yoke's first mcd in a week. (haha. not sure bout yoke but its true for me) why dont they serve french fries before 11am? was really looking forward to eating french fries....

neways, happy hols everyone. gonna watch 27 dresses tomorrow with yoke, li-lin and sara. pj cannot make it , she's flying back to sarawak. ala how to have fun when my sidekick is not by my side:(
sara, i hope you know what to do at the ticket stand if the tickets for the movie are sold-out. hahaha

gonna miss the college library (*coughs*Cute Boy*coughs*)for the next two weeks. looks like my eyes can rest from straining. however, i prefer them strained. :)

Dont be surprised if i come back to college a few pounds heavier. There is this tendency to laze on the couch and this inevitable craving for whatever is in the fridge or in the kitchen cabinet when you are homebound.

Singing To The Stars

Yay only one more paper to go - P3 pure maths, then holiday for 2 weeks. going to watch movie on saturday with the peeps. Dunno if yoke can make it on saturday though, cause she has driving lesson with mr. walrus. damn, it would be so hot if it were mr. mashi instead.

yesterday after econs, we were hanging out by the staircase. omg puijing and yoke keep comparing their mcq answers. i felt very reluctant to join in with them. i wanna know how many i got right but i dont wanna know the questions i got wrong for but eventually i joined in with them, cant resist the temptation. finally li-lin just asked us to stop comparing. then me and yoke came up with the idea to put sara's clothes in the suggestion box and to find a taylor's college employee to help open the lock. Sara kept on laughing and laughing like she partly enjoyed the thought of it. Exam stress is messing with our brains.

I have to start studying for maths. absolutely hate complex numbers - the graph part.
